My 2 Favorite Bubs

I have a brother, his name is Charles Alexander.  Our dad's name is Charles Ray so even though he is not a Jr it was still very confusing having 2 Charles' in the house.  When he was little we all lovingly called him Baby Charles (Baby Chaws in my case because I could not pronounce my R's when I was little) but not wanting to call him Baby forever, we switched his nickname to Bub.  His high school and college friends call him Chuck but to us he will always be Bub and to my kids he in Uncle Bub (Alex calls him Cool Bub- uncle without the un sounds like cool and hey uncle bub is pretty cool!!!)

I have a son, his name is Alexander Ray.  We tried calling him Xander but that didn't really stick- at school and church he is Alex and he calls himself either Alex or Alexander Ray Wilson.  But at home he is Bub.  I guess it is normal for sisters to call their brothers bub or bubby but that was my brother's name so I wasn't planning on using it as a nickname for my son- but it is- even Libby calls him bubba :)

Bub- such a simple short name shared by 2 of my favorite guys in the whole world!
I love my Bubs!!!

Bye bye 1st grade!

From the time my sweet Makenzie was born I have been saying that I can not believe how fast she is growing up- the time seems to be flying by faster and faster and now she has finished First Grade!!! And she is almost as tall as I am!!!  How is this possible???  Here is a recap of our May

Makenzie got all A's and never moved her clip!!

She really enjoyed Cougarette Camp with her friend Ava!

I got to go to May Farm with Mrs. Parson's class- Makenzie LOVED all of the animals!

Alex had his 1st Program at Rainbow Bible School!

We met our cousins in Dallas for a Fresh Beat Band Concert!!

Last week of school

We have a busy summer ahead of us and lots more fun to be had!!  Hopefully it won't be as hot as last summer....

Blessings friends,

New Year-New Baby-New Blog

2012 has brought a lot of changes for my kids and I and I am really looking forward to finding our new normal.  I know that God is in control and I have really felt Him by my side these last few months leading and guiding me- it is such an amazing comfort to see prayers answered and watch as things get worked out better than you could have imagined.  My God is an AWESOME GOD!!!

My third child, Elizabeth Kate, my precious Libby- she has been so laid back and happy since she has been born!  The last 2 weeks she has been SO sick with a 72 hour stomach bug then an ear infection, but 2 antibiotics later she is finally feeling better!!  Bless her sweet little hart (As Alex would say)  I can not believe she is almost 1!  She is taking a few steps and LOVES her brother and sister!!  I fear this child will give me gray hair!!  She is so smart and curious and gets into EVERYTHING!!!  She really loves to chew on shoes (so gross) and eat paper products (kleenex, wipes, paper towels, toilet paper, notebook paper, books)

As we have all these changes going on in our house I decided to start a new blog.  I really want to focus on what is important and I am so blessed to be loved by God and I love my babies more than anything in this world!

1 Corintians 13:13- Three things will last forever--faith, hope, and love--and the greatest of these is love.
